A Film By Rachel Frost

OUR STORY
In an era where it’s more common to meet someone online than
“IRL”, the expectations and norms of dating have shifted. With
the introduction of dating apps, the chance of being ghosted has
skyrocketed.
The reduction of a human being to a 2D picture on a screen has
allowed us to normalize the cowardly practice of disappearing
into the night, often leaving the other person hurt and confused.
Women have always had to fight against the narrative that we
are “dramatic” and “emotional”. But rejection is painful, no matter
how you slice it.
Our goal was to give space to the myriad feelings that come with
being rejected by someone you care about, and validate the
desire for finding closure in the face of loss.

Mona mourns more than most as she hosts a funeral for her ex.
SYNOPSIS
One beautiful fall day, in a beautiful suburb of New York City, three friends gather together to support their good friend Mona. But Mona is...struggling. With her needs. Her grief. And her grasp on reality. She has been ghosted. As a self-proclaimed “widow”, she revels in the spotlight, ignores her therapist, and berates her friends—with little regard for the consequences. As tensions rise and Mona spirals, only her best friend Vivian can step in to teach her a hard but important lesson about letting go.
